How much sod do I need?
Measure length × width of each area in feet, then divide by the roll or big-roll coverage. Add 5–10% for cuts and waste. We're happy to help you calculate.
How soon should I install after delivery?
Within 24 hours. Fresh-cut sod is a perishable product — the sooner it's on soil, the better it establishes.
When is the best time to install?
Sod can be installed year-round in California. Spring and fall are ideal, but with proper watering, summer installations succeed just as well.
How long until I can walk on it?
Light foot traffic after 2 weeks; full use after 3–4 weeks once the roots have knit into the soil.
