San Diego City College Soccer Field San Diego, CA

PROJECT DETAILS

Sod Variety: Ball Park Blend Cut: Big Roll Square Footage: 75,250 Sq. Ft. Timeframe: 2 Days Farm: A-G Sod Farms - Moreno Valley

In the heart of beautiful San Diego, A-G Sod Farms - Moreno Valley assisted in the soccer field renovation at San Diego City College. Working with Exclusive Landscape Renovations, A-G Sod provided the high-quality natural grass for this project, along with quick and efficient installation.

Home to the SD City Knights soccer team, the field underwent a much-needed facelift. Ball Park Blend premium sod grown at our Moreno Valley farm was the perfect variety for the job. This over-seeded Hybrid-Bermuda will acclimate well to both the warm and cool seasons San Diego experiences throughout the year. Its ability to withstand high traffic is another reason why this variety is a top choice for sports fields like this one.

In addition to the quality sod, A-G’s big roll cut was used for this installation. It is ideal for large projects, like this one that was 75,250 sq. ft. Big roll cuts allow for quicker turnaround. With fewer seams and larger pieces, the surface is much smoother, and teams can be back on the field more quickly than with your typical sod installation.

This beautiful installation was completed in just two days, without a hitch. Crews worked quickly and efficiently to install the rolls to help reduce any stress on the grass and the results are phenomenal. This new natural grass surface will not only offer athletes a smoother playing environment, but a safer one as well.
